About Cargill in Paraguay
Cargill has been in Paraguay since 1978, currently has more than 400 employees in more than 20 locations.
With an important infrastructure in Paraguay, the company develops activities related to the origination, processing, storage and commercialization of cereals; production of protein meals and vegetable oils. It also offers a wide range of products and integral solutions for the local producer as well as financial and risk management services.
In order to support its export operations, Cargill has its own shipping logistics, including a large fleet of barges and tugs, thus contributing to the development of the Paraguay-Paraná waterway through its continuous use.
The care of the environment is a priority that materializes through an investment in reforestation plots, a program of use of renewable fuelwood for the supply of its industrial plant, as well as in its own infrastructure, for the treatment of waste water .
Our investment also includes a responsible agriculture program to expand local production markets, and our culture of community involvement.
